ANATOMIA E BIOLOGIA DEL SISTEMA RIPRODUTTIVO UMANO CON ELEMENTI DI EMBRIOLOGIA E FISIOPATOLOGIA DELLA RIPRODUZIONE UMANAModule ANATOMIA DEL SISTEMA RIPRODUTTIVO UMANO
Academic Year 2024/2025 - Teacher: GRAZIA MAUGERIExpected Learning Outcomes
The course aims to provide the student with the skills necessary for a full understanding of the functional complexity of the human reproductive system and of the relationship that exists between morphology and function of the organs that compose it. The purpose of the course is to provide the student with knowledge of topographic, macroscopic and microscopic anatomy of the male and female genital organs and the organs that regulate their function.
The expected learning outcomes include:
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: through frontal teaching at the end of the course it is hoped that the student has learned the microscopic constitution and functioning of all organs and systems, as well as their macroscopic characteristics.
AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT: the student will verify his / her degree of learning and understanding of the concepts presented by the teacher thanks to the possibility of intervening in discussion in class. You must be able to reorganize and implement the knowledge learned, critically discussing and exposing the anatomical characteristics of all the systems, as well as the organ and regional topography.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: the student must demonstrate that he / she has developed the ability to present the anatomical-functional picture of the organism in an effective and comprehensive way and to express the concepts learned with appropriate language.
Course Structure
Required Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of terminology relating to the human organism and basic biological knowledge for the approach to the study of the human organism
Attendance of Lessons
Detailed Course Content
Topographical anatomy of the organs of the male genital system
Macroscopic and microscopic anatomy of the organs of the male genital system and vascularization
Topographical anatomy of the organs of the female genital system
Macroscopic and microscopic anatomy of the female genital organs and vascularization
General information on the organization of the central nervous system and innervation of the male and female genital system
General information on the organization of the glands and in particular on the macroscopic and microscopic anatomy of the pituitary gland
During the laboratory exercises, students will assist in the processing of sections of organs of the male and female genital system and will carry out the differential analysis between them by observation with an optical or fluorescence microscope.
